How are you holding together?

It has been my experience that there has always been a deep and silent voice guiding me toward my purpose- what I am to do in life. At the same time, I know that hearing the voice and overcoming all the messages that run crosswise to it in order to follow it has been one of the most difficult tasks I’ve encountered.

As long as we are in a body we will have time and opportunity to find and follow the voice of our dream. There is never a better day than today to begin. By waiting until the upheaval, destabilization and attacks on truth that are currently rampant in mass society have passed in order to feel more secure, we risk remaining loyal to the familiar inertia and illusion of safety that holds in place what we already have. It may be that there is no safety, but there is treasure in following your unique inner guardian spirit- also known as your genius, or the gifts that only you can bring to life.

In these perilous times of incoherence that feature disinformation, institutionalized deceit, demands for blind loyalty, cultivation of distrust, and ongoing attacks on structures that were built to create stability, we find ourselves longing for truth and coherence. Openings to find clarity and fulfillment will appear, not in the chaos of turbulence but much further out at the edges. Dropping regularly into stillness and solitude, through meditation and other practices, to open to the soul level for meaning is a revolutionary act that can bring us to the truth of who we are and what unique purpose we have carried into life. As each person pursues their truth in this way they create a node of coherence that affects the web of mutuality in which we all resonate with one another. And as each person takes an incremental step toward offering their gifts to the world, they stabilize their surroundings by dropping down and grounding in the missing elements of the soul.

In this seminar we will use the healing method of Family Constellations to explore the deep longings we have within us and the obstacles to manifesting those longings that we carry.

The words of Howard Thurman, who was a theologian, scholar, author and advisor to Martin Luther King Jr. have carried me well for more than 30 years. They are offered here as a potential path to your own coherence.

Family Constellations are transformative processes that help uncover the hidden dynamics in your family relationships. Participants take turns working with unresolved issues in their life. A seeker shares a bit about a challenge, and then with the facilitator’s guidance chooses others from the group to stand and represent key family members and energies related to the issue. This creates a living embodiment of the energy field of the family soul, which allows the facilitator to search for the origins of the issue and bring as much healing as possible to those who were most impacted. The seeker can sit and observe the process from a distance, rather than in the disharmony of the unresolved energies. The Constellation unfolds slowly, without judgment, looking only at the facts of what happened and what the representatives report from the energy field. All participants pledge to maintain confidentiality throughout the workshop and afterwards.

Participants will receive a family questionnaire upon registration. This questionnaire will help you begin stepping into the ancestral energy field, and explore what may remain unresolved for you. Healing through the day is experienced just by observing from the edge of the circle; by standing as a representative; and by setting up one’s own Constellation. While there may not be time for every participant to work through a full Constellation, every attempt is made to give participants at least a brief Constellation by the end of the day. Standing as a representative for another’s sibling, for example, can touch you deeply and bring insight to your own sibling relationship.

Please arrive by 9:15am in order to be settled and ready to begin on time at 9:30.

Minimum 7 participants required for each seminar

Please bring:

• Lunch so you can save the time it would take to go to a restaurant
• A drum or percussion instrument
• Your completed family questionnaire
• Your photo or sacred object for your introduction.  We’ll use these to make an ancestral altar.
• A journal and pen for taking down new insights
