Events hosted by Constellation Journeys are open to anyone. We work with the themes and issues that arise from what you bring as a participant. The Influences of War and Migration In Your Family Lineage
Most of us have family members and ancestors whose lives were strongly impacted by War and Migration. Through the practice of Family Constellations we have seen that the unresolved energies from these experiences may be passed along to succeeding generations, who sometimes unconsciously take them on unnecessarily through love and loyalty to the family. Looking honestly and with discernment at what is our responsibility to carry, and where we are entangled with someone else’s fateful burdens, can open doors to more peace and understanding in ourselves and through the family.
In a time like this when disruption is felt in our current lives through war and societal disorder, the dormant energies we inherited can become more activated and call our attention to the need for grounding and healing that wasn’t possible for those who lived through the disruption in the past. The strength the ancestors gained in living with and through difficult fates can become valuable threads you can access for your own life, possibly for the first time, and increase the level of compassion you feel for the way your life came to you through your family. Every time you speak your truth, it liberates your ancestors who may have had to stay silent.

A Family Constellation is a slow, respectful process that proceeds without judgement, and includes space for every family member and for everything that has happened. It creates an opportunity to take your inner image of your family and bring it into the room to explore the memory fields within it. Along with your DNA, you also inherited the values, beliefs, loves, strengths, losses, and unresolved difficult fates of your ancestors. You may find that out of love and loyalty, you have been unconcsiously trying to carry something painful that belonged to someone else- that was part of their fate, and not yours.
By looking at this material with the guidance and support of an experienced facilitator, you may be able to see that it's out of a child's pure, innocent love you've wanted to fix something that's not your responsibility, and is impossible to change anyway. This sacred practice can help you come to more understanding and more compassion for what your ancestors lived and struggled through while still having the strength to pass life on to another generation and ultimately to you.

Family Constellations are transformative processes that help uncover the hidden dynamics you may be carrying that influence you. Participants take turns working with unresolved issues in their life. A seeker shares a bit about a challenge, and then with the facilitator’s guidance chooses others from the group to stand and represent key family members and energies related to the issue. This creates a living embodiment of the energy field of the family soul, which allows the facilitator to search for the origins of the issue and bring as much healing as possible to those who were most impacted. The seeker can sit and observe the process from a distance, rather than in the disharmony of the unresolved energies. All participants pledge to maintain confidentiality throughout the workshop and afterwards.
Participants will receive a family questionnaire upon registration. This questionnaire will help you explore what may remain unresolved for you in what you inherited from your family lineage. Healing through the day is experienced just by observing from the edge of the circle; by standing as a representative; and by setting up one’s own Constellation. While there may not be time for every participant to work through a full Constellation, every attempt is made to give participants at least a brief Constellation by the end of the day. Standing as a representative for another’s sibling, for example, can touch you deeply and bring insight to your own sibling relationship.
Please arrive by 6:45pm Friday and 9:15am Saturday in order to be settled and ready to begin on time.

Minimum 7 participants required for the seminar to run
Please bring:
- Lunch Saturday so you can save the time it would take to go to a restaurant
- A drum or percussion instrument
- Your completed family questionnaire
- Your photo or sacred object for your introduction. We’ll use these to make an ancestral altar.
- A journal and pen for taking down new insights
